Two Lil' Halloween Cards

Hello! I thought I would bring you a couple of last minute Halloween themed cards today! For the first card I used Samantha Rawlings sweet Lil' Witch. I made a frame around her using four fancy corners cut with a Sizzix die and I tried to "connect" them on the long sides using tiny black gems. It is a little more crooked than I had hoped....but I still like the original idea!

The Details:
Stamp: Samantha Rawlings Lil' Witch - (sheet 2, Plate 62) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: K&Co (I think), Black and White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00,E11,R00,R20
hair: YG21,YG23,YG25,YG17
Clothes:V04,V06,V17,C5,C7,C9
Pumpklin and Car: Y15,Y17,YR16,YR18
Misc: Sizzix Corner die, Spellbinders Label Die, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, Darice Gems

For my second card I used Elaine Cox's Little Witch Cat. I colored the image with Copics and added a little Diamond Stickles around the moon and a little Crystal Effects to the kitty's eyes. I am not sure I really love how that turned out, but it is good to try something new sometimes, right?

The Details:
Stamp: Elaine Cox's Little Witch Cat (Sheet 9, Plate 59) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Bo Bunny, Black and White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Cat: W5,W7,W8,W10
Hat: V04,V06,V17,Y06
Background: BG32,BG34,BG16 all w/W1 over, YG03,YG25,YG17,Y000,Y00
Misc: Martha Stewart Web Border Punch, Ribbon (Papertrey Ink), Diamond Stickles

Happy Halloween!

New Sweet Pea Stamps!

Hello! I get to show you a sneak peek of a new Elaine Cox image that will be available at Sweet Pea Stamps soon! I love her cute, younger images, but I also think this new more mature style is very beautiful. I may have covered some of it up with my coloring, but this image is VERY detailed with a lot of gorgeous subtle shading to help guide you when coloring it.

The Details:
Stamp: Elaine Cox's Katie (available soon from Sweet Pea Stamps)
Paper: Bo Bunny, Early Esspresso (SU), White (Copic XPress)
Copics:

ATS Wednesday - Treat Boxes

Hello! It is time for another All That Scraps challenge and this week we would love to see some last minute Halloween Packaging. My daughter is in Girl Scouts and at her last meeting we were trying our hand at Origami. When I made this cute little Star Box (HERE is a link to a site with instructions, if you want to make one too.)I thought it would make a cute little treat box.

I took my picture without the chocolates in them because they were blocking the view of the stamped images, but I am putting a few Ghiradelli chocolates in each box. Obviously, a few more fit in the larger box which was made with an 8 inch square. The smaller one was made with a 6 inch square of paper.

The Details:
Stamps: CC Designs Swiss Pixies Halloween Hansel and Halloween Birgitta (from All That Scraps)
Paper: K&Co, White for images (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Hansel:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: C1,C3,C5
Clothes: C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9,V15,V17,V09
Birgitta:

Clothes: Y17, YR15,YR18,C5,C7,C9

Two Sweet Witches

Hello! It is getting close to Halloween and that definitely has me in the mood to make cards with cute little witches and adorable kitties!! These two are both by Elaine Cox.

This first one is called Little Stars Witch and is from Plate #59. I colored the whole image with Copics and then I went over the moon and the sky with Twinkling H2O watercolors. I used a Cuttlebug die (cut out twice and cut in half) for the photo corners and an EK Success edge punch to cut the black piece that separates the two panels.

Lil Lolita Skulls

Hello! I hope you are having a fun weekend! I got to stamp a little (YEAH!) and I was able to make a card for the Lil Lolita Boutique challenge this week, which was to use Skulls!

I used the digi image Lil Haunts Vampire Lilith (isn't she so wickedly cool?) and some cute Echo Park skull paper. The background paper behind Lilith is from Creative Imaginations, with some fancy photo corners made with a Cuttlebug die. I used my Martha Stewart Goo edge punch to make some dripping blood and used Crystal Effects so it looks wet (I also added it to the drink in her glass.) The sentiment is from My Craft Lounge and framed it with some Oval Nestabilities and part of the Fleur de Lis set from Spellbinders. You can't see it AT ALL in the photo, but I used a clear Spica glitter pen on her hair so in real life it has a nice subtle sparkle.

The Details:
Stamp: Lil Haunts Vampire Lilith - Tickled Pink Stamps, sentiment from My Craft Lounge
Paper: Echo Park (Skulls), Creative Imaginations
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler (Stampin Up), Black (Papertrey Ink), White (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Red Barn, Fired Brick and Mahogany Distress Inks
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R20,R46,R59,V93,V95,V99
Hair:C0,C1,C3
Clothes: R46,R59,V99,C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9,110
Misc: Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities and Fleur de Lis, Cuttlebug Fancy Corner die, Martha Stewart Goo Punch, Crystal Effects, Offray Ribbon, Clear atyou Spica glitter pen.

Maybe I will finish the next one before the deadline!!

New Sweet Pea Artist!

This is my second post today - please scroll down for my ATS Challenge post.

Hi! I don't know if you have seen, but several fabulous new artists have been added to the Sweet Pea Stamps line up, and today I get to preview another one! I am so excited about all of the GORGEOUS new stamps coming our way! The one I am showing you today is called Scorpio and is by Caron Vinson.

My mother's birthday is next month (yep, she is a Scorpio) and her favorite color is yellow, so I made this card with her in mind. I did not go back and look at the colored image before coloring this so it was not until I was done that I found out she is not wearing gloves in the original artwork - she has little short off the shoulder sleeves! I think they look good as the tops of a long pair of gloves, too!

The Details:
Stamp: Scorpio - Caron Vinson (sheet 1 Plate 77) - from Sweet Pea Stamps
Cardstock: Dark Chocolate and White (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Basic Grey
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R20,
Hair: E44,E47,E49
Clothes: Y02,Y04,Y08,E49,W10,110
Wings: Y02,E57
Misc: Sizzzix Photo Corner die, Stardust Stickles

ATS Wednesday Challenge - Fall Decorations

Hello! I'm sorry I haven't been around as much lately. I have been working on some knitting projects which is not leaving as much time for cardmaking as I usually have. I did set the yarn aside to make a project for this week's All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge Blog. This week we are making Fall Decorations.

I had a hard time getting a decent picture. You can see the fairies a little better if you click on the picture to make it bigger.

I used my Cricut to cut out the word "Blessings" from some K&Co paper. I made a pennant for each letter (is each one called a pennant or the whole thing?) and did some faux stitching and ink distressing around the edges of each one. I hung them on a leaf garland that was on sale at JoAnn's. My favorite part is the 3 Sweet November Fairies (Tangle Goblinshimmer, Bramble Lastleaf, and Spindle Mossyrock) that live in the leaves and are poking their heads out to say hello! They are all 3 available as Digi stamps so I was able to make them larger than card size.

I hope you will have a chance to play along with us this week. There is always a prize up for grabs - Here is what you need to do to be eligible: Make your creations using one of the MANY stamps available at All That Scraps, then link a photo or your blog post to the All That Scraps Challenge Blog before next Tuesday at 10PM EST! Have fun!

Color Me Copic Challenge

Hello! Color Me Copic has a tutorial today on coloring the folds on clothes using Copics (by Elaine) and will be having a challenge to go along with it! It is being sponsored by Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and she sent along this lovely stamp for us to color.

I colored in the image at the beginning of the week (she was a dream to color!) but she is so far from my usual style that I really struggled with putting a card together around her (not her fault - she is absolutely darling!) I felt the need to be very girly with her, which I am not usually....I made the flowers using white printer paper and a Martha Stewart punch (I tried to use tissue wrapping paper at first because I really wanted them to be soft and delicate, but I couldn't get my punch to work right with it. Is it even possible? Does anyone know the secret to making that work?) I curled the edges of the flowers using the straight part of a straight pin then added pearls in the centers. A little bit of ink distressing and some ribbon, and Voila!

The Details:
Stamp: ? from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design
Paper: Bo Bunny
Cardstock: White for base (Stampin Up), White for Image (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Stain Distress Ink, Antique Linen Distress Ink, Scattered Straw Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R20
Hair: E43,E44,E47,E49
Clothes:RV21,RV23,RV25,RV29,C0

Misc: Spellbinders Label Die, Brown Ribbon (SU), Pink Ribbon (Taylored Expressions), Flower and Leaf Punch (Martha Stewart), Pearls (Recollections - I colored them a different pink with Copics)

Please take a look at Color Me Copic (if you haven't already) for Elaine's tutorial and all of the details of the challenge!

It's Yarr Birthday!

Hiya! IT is All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge time again and this week the challenge is "Cards for Guys". Hmmm, well I have to admit, I don't make a lot of those. I started flipping through my images (my stamps are stored in numbered CD cases but I keep a binder (or 2 or 3...) with the images stamped out and the number of the CD case that they are in so I can find them quickly once I decide what I want to use.) I finally decided on Kraftin Kimmies Cutthroat Lizzie. My DH didn't really think it looked like a guy card but I say "What guy doesn't like a buxom pirate wench?" Plus, look, no ribbon or flowers!!

The Details:
Stamp: Cutthroat Lizzie and Pirate Sentiments - both Kraftin Kimmie (sold at All That Scraps)
Paper: Map (Creative Imaginations), Red and White Stripe (My Minds Eye), Dark Chocolate (Papertrey Ink), White (Copic XPress)

When I say quick, I really mean it! Everything on this card except for the image is one sheet of Dp from Bo Bunny. The only thing that took any time at all was paper piecing the dress (and then I messed up the ruffle at the wrist and had to try to color it in with a white gel pen!)

Ho Ho Ho!

Hello! It is the final day of Sweet November sneak peeks for this month and we are ending with another Cutie Patootie! This is Baby Boy With Cookies and Milk and he (along with all of the other new Sweet November Babies) will be available tomorrow at All That Scraps!

This one is actually a super simple card - I used stickers for Santa and the Reindeer and the sentiment was on a piece of DP (all from Echo Park). Oh, and I almost forgot to mention - Baby Boy's head is tilted back, just like Baby Girl with Milk and Cookies on the actual stamp. My Santa sticker was pretty short and I wanted Baby Boy to be looking at him so I cut his head apart from his PJ's and then glued it back straight on instead of tilted.

The Details:
Stamp: Baby Boy With Cookies and Milk - Sweet November (from All That Scraps)
Paper: Echo Park, Garden Green (SU), White (Copic Xpress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: E11,E13,E15,E17,E19
Clothes: R22,R24,R29,R39,E31,E34,E57,E59
Cookies: E30,E31,E34,E49
Misc: Stickers (Echo Park)

Starry Halloween

This is my second post today - please scroll down for my Sweet November Sneak Peek!

Hello! Today I have made a card with another of Elaine Cox's beautiful Halloween witches. This one is called Starry Halloween. It, along with Twilight Halloween is a little bigger than the usual Sweet Pea stamps (but not too big - this is still a 6.25 x 4.5 card).

For Starry Halloween I decided to make the witch green and tried to match her to my paper. She is also colored with Copics, but I did use Twinkling H2O watercolors on the moon to make it shimmer and a little Clear Stardust Sakura gel pen on the twinkling stars!

The Details:
Stamp: Elaine Cox's Starry Halloween from Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: We R Memory Keepers, Garden Green card stock (SU) Black and White card stock (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
