ATS Wednesday Challenge - Magnets!

Hello! Our challenge today at the All That Scraps Challenge Blog is to make Magnets, or Refrigerator Art!! There are two pieces of paper that I always have on my refrigerator - a shopping or "to do" list and a menu of meals to make with the groceries I bought. So I decided to make some fun magnets to hold them on the refrigerator!!

I found some magnet sheets at Walmart that were very thin and were perfect for covering the entire back of the scene. The words were cut out using my Cricut, with the letter size at 3/4 of an inch.

The Details:
Stamp: Ginger (Sweet November)- from All That Scraps
Paper: Bella Blvd, Black (Papertrey Ink), Vellum, white Copic Xpress

Sidhe Makes Me Happy!

Why, hello! It feels like ages since I've been here....sorry about that. I have been working on a few things I can't show you yet, and the rest wasn't worth showing you (in fact they were downright embarrassing!)! I was getting seriously bummed about it! But yesterday I sat down to make my card for this week's All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge (which is a sketch challenge this week), and I was so pleased with it! Ginger has totally lifted my spirits! (And just in case you are wondering what in the world my title means, Sidhe is pronounced Shee and basically means Faerie!)

All of those layers in the sketch seemed a bit intimidating at first, but once I picked my papers it was easy because they all came from the same line so coordinating wasn't a problem. I paper pieced her dress and the mushrooms from some of the DP. Her wings were stamped separately on vellum and coated in Stardust Stickles. I didn't have a sentiment small enough that said what I wanted so I just hand wrote my sentiment this time. I was so thrilled that the Sugraplum stump fit Ginger perfectly, too!

The Details:
Stamps: Ginger (Sweet November), Sugarplums Stump (CC Designs) - both All That Scraps
Paper: My Minds Eye, Vellum, Chocolate Chip (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair and Stump: E21,E25,E27,E29
Clothes: YR00,YR14
Mushroom Stem: E50,E53,E55
Misc: Stardust Stickles. Brads (SU)

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you will join us in the ATS challenge this week! There is always a prize offered and all you have to do is use stamps sold at All That Scraps (and there are TONS of different brands they carry) to make your challenge card, then upload it using the Mr Linky at the ATS Wednesday Challenge Blog!

Good Luck!

Sweet November Peek #3 - Ginger!

Hiya!! If you are a follower of Amy's (the creator of the Sweet November line) you may have seen this beautiful Ginger Fairy a while back when she was "just a drawing" that Amy had made into a lovely card. If you are anything like me, you immediately wanted her made into rubber - and now she is!!! YAY! (She will be available on the 1st at All That Scraps.)

I wanted her wings to be translucent so I stamped them on vellum, cut them out and replaced the original wings with them. I added some green stickles to them for sparkle. For the sentiment I covered some chipboard letters from my stash with some DP from Basic Grey's Origin line, then sanded the edges.

The Details:
Stamp: Ginger Fairy - Sweet November Stamps (through All That Scraps)
Paper: Basic Grey Origins, Chocolate chip (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin:R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: E02,E08,E09,E18
Wings:YG11,G02 on vellum
Misc: Chipboard letters (JoAnn brand), Brads (Basic Grey), Stickles, Scallop punch (SU), Corner Rounder (SU)

Don't forget to check out Amy's blog (A Thousand Sheets of Paper) for some fabulous candy to celebrate her new release, and you can see more samples with the new stamps on the Sweet November Guest Designer Crafty Amy's blog.

I will have more for you tomorrow!! I hope you stop by!
