ATS Challenge - Song Inspiration!

Hello! Today's challenge at the All That Scraps Challenge Blog is to be inspired by a song! I was a little scared of this challenge and then once I got started I couldn't stop and I made two!!


My first card is the card I made for my daughter's 11th birthday, which was Monday. Her favorite song is Avril Lavigne's Skater Boi so I used that as inspiration for her card! I stamped the word "Sk8tr" in the top corner and then wrote "Boi" beneath it, but it is hard to see in the picture.

My second one is more of a Holiday Card (and it is on it's way to a very special person as I type this!) I had to have this adorable Winter Ella Puddle Jumper when I saw her - she is too cute and then when you add on her Penguin friend and the "Baby It's Cold Outside" sentiment she was irresistible to me! Ever since the Glee Christmas episode I have not been able to stop singing Baby It's Cold Outside, so that is my inspiration for this card!

ATS Challenge - Gift Ideas

Hello! It is time for another challenge at the All That Scraps Challenge Blog and this week we would love to see gift ideas! I made tissue covers for the two secretaries at our school. You can find the tutorial HERE.

Tag - You're It!

Hiya! It is time for another All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge and we have a really fun one this week - Gift Tags!! When I saw this I thought this would be a fun quick project that I would make a bunch of (quick because I didn't have to think about the card part, and fun because coloring is my favorite part!!) I still had a really fun time, but I somehow veered away from the quick! My tags are almost as big as cards (and I thoroughly admit to thinking about turning them into cards and starting over on the tag part!!)

The first one uses a Sweet November digi image from last year (It is still available if you look in the digi section at All That Scraps!) I colored her and cut her out but I had to redraw the string holding her star because I couldn't cut that precisely! I also just realized I forgot to put her halo back on!!

For the next one I used another Sweet November image - these Baby stamps are so much fun to paper piece! I can't seem to stop myself from doing that when I use them! I also cut a felt Christmas tree using a Sizzix die and gave it some glittered brad ornaments.

For my last tag I used the adorable new Tickled Pink Ornaments Cherrie. I colored her and cut her out using a circle Nestability die, leaving the head and part of her dress outside the cutting area.

Lil Lolita Skulls

Hello! I hope you are having a fun weekend! I got to stamp a little (YEAH!) and I was able to make a card for the Lil Lolita Boutique challenge this week, which was to use Skulls!

I used the digi image Lil Haunts Vampire Lilith (isn't she so wickedly cool?) and some cute Echo Park skull paper. The background paper behind Lilith is from Creative Imaginations, with some fancy photo corners made with a Cuttlebug die. I used my Martha Stewart Goo edge punch to make some dripping blood and used Crystal Effects so it looks wet (I also added it to the drink in her glass.) The sentiment is from My Craft Lounge and framed it with some Oval Nestabilities and part of the Fleur de Lis set from Spellbinders. You can't see it AT ALL in the photo, but I used a clear Spica glitter pen on her hair so in real life it has a nice subtle sparkle.

A Late Tickled Pink Challenge

Hi! I am really hoping to do some more challenges, especially ones that involve stamps that I love and have been collecting but not using....I am actually a little late for this one. It was a color challenge at Lil Lolita Boutique to use Black, Purple and Orange. The challenged closed a day or two ago, but it did get me to use this stamp and that's what matters, right? Maybe I will finish the next one before the deadline!!
