New Elaine Cox

Hi! There is a new set of Elaine Cox stamps coming out at Sweet Pea Stamps! They are on sale through the 14th and will begin shipping on the 17th. This is the whole set, so you can see the other adorable images:

This card is one of those cases where I had an idea and it didn't exactly go the way I had planned or pictured it. I love the stamp, and I am definitely going to play with it some more to see if I can make my card closer to what I had in mind! To start with, if I use the dew drops again, I think I will try to put them on in a pattern. I was going for random, but it just kind of looks sloppy to me now!

The Details:
Stamp: from Elaine Cox's sheet 5 Plate 46 - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Imaginisce, Nautical Blue Dark and Medium (Prism), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Monday Mania Ephemera

Hello! Today we have the Monday Mani challenge at Club Anya and Friends and Rinne has challenged us all to use ephemera on our cards. You may ask "What is ephemera?" (I am really hoping I am not the only one who had to ask that!!) Amy tells me, "Ephemera is all those little bits and pieces of paper and what not that usually get thrown away as you go about your day, like: newspaper clippings, business cards, shopping bags, fabric and clothing tags, ticket stubs, candy wrappers, junk mail, even broken jewelry". So I added two tags to my card today - one came from a reusable grocery bag and the other from a basket I had just bought. My daughter was going to do this challenge with me and she was loving adding all of her findings to her card - she had some bubble wrap, candy wrapper bits and parts of a fruit chip package. Alas, she ran out of steam before she finished her card!

The Details:
Stamps: Wild Sprout Gigi's head and WS Ruby's body, sentiment from Spotlight (scrapbooking set) - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Basic Grey, Vintage Cream and WHite (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair:YR00,YR14,E08,E09,E18
Clothes: YG03,YG05,YG17,G02,G05,G09,Y08,Y17,E25,E27,E29.E49
Misc: Corner Rounder (SU), Sakura Glaze Pen (Black)

Do you think it would be fun to use ephemera on your card? Check out the details for the challenge at Club Anya and Friends - you have the chance to win a CA&F stamp of your choice (that is in stock)!

I hope your day is wonderful!

You Rock Sketch Saturday!

Hello! Do you have big plans for the weekend? I don't!! And those are my favorite kind of weekends!! I hope to get to play a lot with my stamps and new papers (I had several online stamping supply orders arrive yesterday and I am a happy puppy!!) But for today I have a card made with Pam's sketch for Sketch Saturday at Club Anya and Friends!! I am experimenting with making bigger cards and my first couple of attempts looked a little bare but I am thrilled with the extra size on this one. I don't think I could have put all of these guys together on a smaller card (this one is 5x7 when I usually work 5x5 or 4.25x5.5).

I decided to make my own little CA&F rock band using the new Drummer digi, Eric (with a microphone drawn to go in his hand) and Ebony (she has Rockstar Anya's hands and guitar). I used some new Artisan Tape from Pink Paisley instead of a flourish in the upper corner. The black layer behind the circle was made by cutting out a scalloped circle with my Nesties, then repositioning it in the die so it would cut off a portion of each scallop when I ran it through again.

The Details:
Stamps: Drummer Digi, Eric, and Ebony - The Greeting Farm, Sentiment You Rock (Verve)
Paper: Lilly Bee, Basic Black, Whisper White (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Black (SU)
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E00,R20
Drummer:
Hair: C5,C7,C9,YG21,YG23,YG25
Clothes: B21,B23,B26,C3,C5
Drums:R24,R27,R29,R39,C0,C1,C3
Eric:
Hair: E50,E53,E55
Clothes: C5,C7,C9,B21,B23,B26
Ebony:
Hair: R24,R27,R29,R39,R89,RV02,RV04,RV06,RV09
Guitar: B21,B23,B26,B28
Misc: Pink Paislee Artisan Tape, Brads (Bazzill), Stardust Stickles, Crystal Effects, Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Corner Rounder (SU)

I hope you will join us and try your hand at the sketch at CA&F!
Have a great weekend!

Punk It Up

(If you are here to see the ATS challenge card, please scroll down.)

Today at Club Anya and Friends, our guest designer for the month of April (Caz) has a challenge for this week's Wild Card Wednesday - Punk It Up! I have made this card for my brother, who always request a stack of "U Suck" cards to be made for him each year. He gives them out to those he really cares about, and they seem to "get it" and appreciate the cards!

I altered the new Stamping Anya by wiping away the "stamps" on her shirt before stamping and drawing in the "U" and the "No" sign on the heart. I also gave her new hair by stamping her once, cutting her out, and tracing her head to draw her new hair which I placed on the original head like a wig.

The Details:
Stamp: Stamping Anya - The Greeting Farm
paper: Creative Imaginations, Basic Grey, Basic Black (both SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Going Gray, Basic Gray, Basic Black (SU)
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: C3,C5,C7,C9,110,B000
Clothes: C1,C3,C5,R24,R29,R39
Misc: Brads (JoAnn's Scrap Essentials), Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Rub On letters (old K&Co from my stash)

I think this is a really fun challenge, with a lot of room to GO Crazy, so please join us at CA&F to check it out! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

ATS Shaped Card Challenge

Hello! Our challenge today at the All That Scraps Challenge Blog is to make a shaped card. I admit that this is a challenge for me!! (And apparently taking a picture of a shaped card is also a challenge! I don't know why it is so stretched out and strange looking.!)

I decided I wanted to put Chenille (from the new Sweet November set Darby and Chenille) on a flower. I used my Tinkerbell Cricut cartridge to cut the flower. I cut a circle out of Kraft cardstock and attached a lot of Dew Drops with Crystal Effects. (I hope that will hold them on there permanently!)

The Details:
Stamps: Darby and Chenille (Sweet November), Amy R Spring Sentiments - both from All That Scraps
Paper: Summer Sun, Kraft (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Distress Ink
Copics:
Chenille: YR04,E08,E09, R22,R29,R39
Misc: Ribbon (Offray), Espresso (?) Liquid Pearls, Corner Rounder (SU), Dew Drops, Cricut

I hope you will join us this week for our challenge. There is a prize up for grabs each week, you just need to use one of the stamps sold at the ATS store and link your card up at the challenge blog!

If you haven't already you should really go see the other samples made with Darby by Amy and Maire. Amy always has the most wonderful candy to give away with her Sweet November releases. In some ways I am a lot jealous because I am not eligible for the candy - I would love to get one of her card kits!! Good luck to you if you go enter!
