Club Anya Saturday Sketch

Hello! While I was on vacation, I had no internet access but I did bring a small selection of my Copics with me, some images I had stamped up, and some DP (I know it is crazy, but I can't seem to color without DP for inspiration. I like to think that it is because there are so many possibilities, but maybe I am just not imaginative enough!) Anyway, I came home with a few colored images, but no completed cards.....luckily, Pam has another wonderful sketch for Club Anya's Saturday Sketch challenge!

I made the "Sk8tr" paper by first coloring a piece of paper with my Copics, shading from red to orange to yellow and back again. I then stamped with the SK8TR sentiment in Versamark ink and embossed with clear. Finally, I rubbed black ink all over it! Cool, huh?! The dots across the back and around the edge of the oval are made with black Scribbles (an acrylic paint meant for use on fabric). I had intended to use lots of little black brads and had even punched the holes, but I discovered I had far fewer brads left than I thought!

The Details:
Stamp: Later Sk8tr, sentiment from My Guy Ian - both from The Greeting Farm
Paper: Bo Bunny, Real Red (SU), White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Soot Distress Ink, Versamark Clear
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,.E11,R20
Hair: E44,E47,E49,C9
Clothes: R24,R29,R39,B91,B93,B95,C0,C1,C3,Y15,Y17,YR04
Background and Skateboard: R24,R27,YR04,YR07, Y15,Y17
Misc: Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities, Scribbles Paint, Foam Tape, Clear Embossing Powder

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Getting Cheeky with a Saturday Sketch

Hello! Pam had made another wonderful sketch to challenge us at Club Anya and Friends! I used the adorable Cheeky Mate and some cute pinwheel paper from Echo Park. I even had a pinwheel sticker that came with the paper so I was easily able to give her one to hold in her hand (it could have been done from the paper, too, of course. It just would have taken a little more time!)

The Details:
Stamp: Cheeky Mate (The Greeting Farm) Sentiment from Hero Arts
Paper: Echo Park, Baja Breeze (SU), White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair:E50,Y21,Y23,Y26
Clothes:BG11,BG32,BG34 all w/C1 over, R22,R24,C0,C1,C3
Misc: Fiscars Edge Punch, Echo Park Stickers, Circle Punches (SU), Sakura Glaze Pen

Have a wonderful weekend!

It's Saturday Sketch Time!

Hiya! Pam has another great sketch for you to try at Club Anya and Friends today! I used Odette from the new Roll Call set to make a "thank you" card for someone who helped me out a lot at work earlier this week when I was not feeling well. I used a little of the new Cosmo Cricket DeLovely paper, which I love, but I toned it down a bit by adding a black and white print from Making Memories. The black and white striped piece is two strips of Washi tape (which The Greeting Farm now carries.) I really like this tape because I can reposition it easily if I don't put it down quite right, and it is so pretty I can use it like ribbon strips!

The Details:
Stamp: Roll Call - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Cosmo Cricket DeLovely, Making Memories, White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20,FV2,BV000
Hair: C3,C5,C7,C9,110
Clothes: C5,C7,C9, Y04,Y06,Y08
Misc: Scallop Edge Punch (SU), Washi Tape, Nestabilities Circle and Scallop Circle, Sakura Black Glaze Pen, White Gel Pen

Thanks so much for visiting me today! I hope you get a chance to try the sketch at CA&F, too!

Saying Goodbye With a Sketch

Hello! How are you on this wonderful weekend!? I hope you are getting to do lots of things that you want to do! I have made a card with one of Pam's fabulous sketches for Club Anya and Friends Sketch Saturday!

If you look closely you may be wondering why in the world I combined the very kid/school oriented Nerdy Bird paper with Handy Ian!? Well, I made this card for a co-worker who is leaving and he is the custodian at our elementary school.

The Details:
Stamp: Handy Ian (digi)-The Greeting Farm, AmyR Spring Sentiments
Paper: Sassafrass Lass Nerdy Bird, Prism Intense Yellow, Prism Classic Yellow Green, White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: E47,E49,110
Clothes:E44,E47,E49,E25,E27,E30,E31,E43,Y11,Y15,Y17
Misc: Spellbinder Circle Nestabilities, Screw Brads (Gina K - bought a long time ago, I don't know if they still carry them).

Please stop by the Club Anya and Friends blog to see other takes on Pam's sketch! I hope you will try it yourself, too!

Jamie Frasier and Claire!

Hello! It is time for Sketch Saturday over at Club Anya and Friends! I used Pam's sketch to feature my literary love, Jamie Frasier and his wife who traveled through time to be with him, Claire. (They are from the series by Diana Gabaldon and the first book is Outlander.) I used the new digi from The Greeting Farm called Sassenach Anya for Claire (since she is based on Claire!) and I used Ian Laddie for Jamie (I did lengthen his hair a little!). Claire is a British nurse, living right after World War II at the beginning of the series, so I used the floral prints because they made me think of the Forties.

The Details:
Stamps: Sassenach Anya (digi) and Ian Laddie - both The Greeting Farm
Paper: October Afternoon (Road Map and Thrift Shop), Basic Black (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin for both: R00,E00,E11,R20
Jamie - Hair: YR04,E08,E09,E18
Clothes:R24,R27,R29,R39,C5,C7,C9,110,Y21,Y26,Y28
Claire - Hair: E40,E43,E44,E47
Clothes: E50.E53,E55,BG10,BG11,BG32
Misc: Rub On Sentiment (SU), Ribbon (SU), Spellbinders Nestabilities Ovals and Scalloped Ovals

You Rock Sketch Saturday!

Hello! Do you have big plans for the weekend? I don't!! And those are my favorite kind of weekends!! I hope to get to play a lot with my stamps and new papers (I had several online stamping supply orders arrive yesterday and I am a happy puppy!!) But for today I have a card made with Pam's sketch for Sketch Saturday at Club Anya and Friends!! I am experimenting with making bigger cards and my first couple of attempts looked a little bare but I am thrilled with the extra size on this one. I don't think I could have put all of these guys together on a smaller card (this one is 5x7 when I usually work 5x5 or 4.25x5.5).

I decided to make my own little CA&F rock band using the new Drummer digi, Eric (with a microphone drawn to go in his hand) and Ebony (she has Rockstar Anya's hands and guitar). I used some new Artisan Tape from Pink Paisley instead of a flourish in the upper corner. The black layer behind the circle was made by cutting out a scalloped circle with my Nesties, then repositioning it in the die so it would cut off a portion of each scallop when I ran it through again.

The Details:
Stamps: Drummer Digi, Eric, and Ebony - The Greeting Farm, Sentiment You Rock (Verve)
Paper: Lilly Bee, Basic Black, Whisper White (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Black (SU)
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E00,R20
Drummer:
Hair: C5,C7,C9,YG21,YG23,YG25
Clothes: B21,B23,B26,C3,C5
Drums:R24,R27,R29,R39,C0,C1,C3
Eric:
Hair: E50,E53,E55
Clothes: C5,C7,C9,B21,B23,B26
Ebony:
Hair: R24,R27,R29,R39,R89,RV02,RV04,RV06,RV09
Guitar: B21,B23,B26,B28
Misc: Pink Paislee Artisan Tape, Brads (Bazzill), Stardust Stickles, Crystal Effects, Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Corner Rounder (SU)

I hope you will join us and try your hand at the sketch at CA&F!
Have a great weekend!
