Mad About You...

Hiya! Today I get to go see Alice In Wonderland! I hope I have not built it up in my head so much that I am disappointed....In the meantime, I have been having a blast playing in the challenges that the Oh Alice blog has each weekend. This week's was a color challenge - Red, Purple and Blue - inspired by the O.P.I. fingernail polish collection "Wonderland".

I have actually been playing around with this card for several days. I was so thrilled with my Hatter when I finished him, but I feel like I need a re-do on the rest of the card! Oh, well... I made the Hatter by combining the head of Twisted Tea (a digi from The Greeting Farm) with the upper body of the Anya from the Showtime set (I did keep Twisted Tea's tie, though). I drew some new legs for him. (I did this by cutting out the upper body I was going to use, then tracing it on my cardstock as reference lines so I knew where the pants should start. Once the pants were drawn and colored I cut them out and glued them under the upper body.) I also cut off some of Twisted Tea's hair and gave him the Hatter's hat from the Wonderland set. I tried to give him the hat from Showtime but it was too small to cover Twisted Tea's teacup! I made the background with the teacup from the Wonderland set (I am lucky enough to have the rubber version, but it has been re-released in digi! It is such a great set with the CUTEST rabbit and accessories!)

Another Circus Card!

Good Morning! I hope a lot of you are getting to enjoy some time off because of the Holiday....I want to say a big Thank You for all of the well wishes I had last week over my hot water heater problems! They were fairly easily (and not too expensively!) fixed, once we were able top get a plumber to the house.

My card today is another Circus card! When Marie and Jess gave that challenge out (for those trying for the Greeting Farm DT 2 weeks ago) my mind just kept coming up with scenes! So here is another one!

TGF Farm Fresh Sketch Challenge

Hi! I am going to be out of town for the next couple of days (we are going on an Alaska Wildlife Cruise!) so I will set up my next couple of cards to autopost!

I mentioned the other day that I am just in love with sketches now, so I was so excited when I saw that the Farm Fresh Challenge at the Greeting Farm blog was a sketch challenge (and it is a wonderful sketch by Jessica the leader of the TGF and Club Anya DT teams!) I immediately saw the three dots in the left corner as a place to put something being juggled, so that's what I did! (I'm sure that came to mind because I had just bought new paper with these bowling pins, which made me think of juggling!) It's Showtime!

Hi everyone! Are you ready for day 2 of the sneak peeks of the upcoming Greeting Farm releases? Today we have the fabulous "Showtime" set! I pretty much squealed with delight when I opened my package and saw this set! It is a Circus set, with Anya as the Ringmaster, an adorable elephant, some popcorn, and some cute sentiments. I could see it for kids birthday cards, or baby announcements using the cute elephant. But I also saw the ringmaster Anya as a Cabaret singer and that's how I did my first card! The background (white) was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, although it's hard to see in this picture. I made stage curtains with some DP from DCWV, using a scallop border punch on the top. The top curtain and red CS under it are popped up on dimensional dots, too. I used Crystal Effects on her top hat and bow tie for some extra shine. And, speaking of shine, there is lots of silver glitter for an extra sparkly bodysuit! She is colored with Copics:

This set was so cute, I just had to make a card with the elephant, too. Right away he made me think of a new baby boy card, so even though there is no sentiment that is what I had in mind. The DP is some older Basic Grey I had. I used Crystal Effects on this card, too, on his hat and shorts. He is colored with Copics:
