Sparkly Light of Beautitude

Hello! I have made a card today using one of the more recent ching chou kuik images from Sweet Pea Stamps. I have just discovered glimmer mist sprays and have really been having fun with them so I made the background using the sprays and a butterfly screen. The whole card is very sparkly - I used Diamond stickles on her wings and body which has a gold/yellow cast to it's sparkle and then I used Stardust stickles on the candlight. I was hoping that this would make the candlelight give off a subtly different sparkle.

ATS Wednesday Sketch

Hiya! It is time for another challenge at the ATS Wednesday challenge blog and this week it is a sketch challenge! Please look HERE to see the sketch! I can't seem to stop playing with my Glimmer Mists and Shimmer Spritz so I have used them again here. I also used Crystal Effects for some bubbles, and the Martha Stewart leaf punch (oak, maybe?) looks like seaweed to me when used upside down! I used black stickles for the ocean floor.

Sparkly (Spoiled) Princess!

Hello! I am playing along with Club Anya's Monday Mania challenge today! This week's challenge is brought to us by Berenice and it is to make a card with a Sparkly Princess Party theme. I am the first to admit, mine has more of a Spoiled Sparkly Princess theme!


I wiped away Wednesday's straight skirt before stamping her and drew her a slightly more full skirt, which I covered with stardust stickles! I also gave her a rub-on crown to complete the princess look. I don't know about you but I have been seeing more and more projects with Washi tape (which The Greeting Farm now carries, too!) It comes in lots of pretty colors and prints, so of course I had to have some even thought I wasn't entirely sure what to do with it besides use it as tape...I am still learning but I have discovered that you can tape it to cardstock and cut it out with die cuts or punches then carefully peel it off of the cardstock to use it. A lot of it is translucent so it adds a neat look. (The aqua piece on my card is Washi tape cut with a Nestie Labels Die and the black scallop border is Washi tape cut with a scallop border punch. ) Test a small piece on the cardstock you choose - although Washi tape is usually repositioned very easily (which comes in handy if you place it crooked!) I found that it tougher to remove from some cardstock (Gina K) than other's (Georgia Pacific) after being run through a die cut machine!

A Couple of Dragons

Hi! I finally got a chance to play with a few of the adorable dragon stamps from artist Lisa Victoria. For the first one I used Dragon Luck and colored it with my Copics. After coloring as I normally would I went back and added a lot of dots to mimic scales. I also added some Crystal Effects to the ladybug on his nose!

I colored the dragon on the second card (Rain Dragon) the same way, but when I added the stickles it covered up the scales. I turned to the handy dandy Crystal Effects again to give the rain some dimension.

Sweet November Day 2 - Bubbles!

Hello! I have another fabulous Sweet November mermaid to share with you today - this is Bubbles Lostlagoon and her pal Palu! Doesn't she have the most wonderful hair!? It reminds me of a big yummy pile of cotton candy (that's probably what influenced me to make it pink!) All of these new Sweet November stamps will be available at All That Scraps on July 5th!

I used a Martha Stewart Around the Corner punch to make my photo corners - they are the bits that get punched off that you would normally throw away, covered in Stickles!

Sweet November Sneak Peek!

Hello! I am so excited to get to show you a preview of one of the new Sweet November stamps - Shimmer Redkelp and her friend Otto! Does Amy just come up with THE BEST names for her lovely creations, or what!? I have to say, I LOVE all of these new Mermaids, but I think Shimmer is my very favorite!
