ATS Wednesdy Challenge - Double Pocket Card

Hello! The challenge today at the All That Scraps Challenge Blog is to make a Double Pocket Card. Instructions can be found HERE. It may just be me, but I had a little bit of a hard time following the written instructions - luckily there is a video tutorial there too and that makes it very clear!

Here is a picture of my card with the pocket inserts pushed down (Actually, the top pocket has the tag in it but pushed down, the bottom pocket does not have the gift card in it in this photo!)

I had so much fun making this card! I love thinking of Shimmer catching a wave - she looks like such a Surfer Chick to me! I got the idea for the waves from a page in the latest Creating Keepsakes magazine where they used clear embossing powder and seed beads to make the waves look all frothy. I couldn't get the beads to stick in the embossing powder though, so I ended up using Crystal Effects. All of the surfboards were cut from a sheet of DP.

Sweet November Sneak Peek!

Hello! I am so excited to get to show you a preview of one of the new Sweet November stamps - Shimmer Redkelp and her friend Otto! Does Amy just come up with THE BEST names for her lovely creations, or what!? I have to say, I LOVE all of these new Mermaids, but I think Shimmer is my very favorite! Her long flowing hair and her pretty bandanna contribute to my love, but Otto just does me in! I adore Otters! Oh, before I get too carried away and forget - I should make sure you know these cuties will be released on July 5th at All That Scraps!
