The Joys of Sketches!

Lately I feel like I am constantly playing catch-up. There are never enough hours in the day and my list of things to do keeps growing and growing! I think because of this I am discovering the joys of card sketches! My favorite part of card making is the coloring and picking out the papers, but I really struggle with the layout. On the last couple of cards I've made (some I'll show you tomorrow!) I have turned to sketches and I am loving it! Today's card uses a sketch from back in April from Sketch Saturday (I have started keeping a 3-ring binder with sketches printed off that I like!)

My First Gorjuss Girl

Hi Everyone! How is your week so far? Mine's pretty good! I finally got that sunshine they've been promising, and I'm feeling gooood (ok, I admit, I just finished watching Adam Lambert sing on American Idol and now that is stuck in my head. I always loved that song anyway!)

This is my first card done with one of my new Gorjuss girls (available at Funky Kits). This one is "Just a Girl". I just love the art these stamps are based on by Suzanne Woolcott, too! You can check it out HERE if you are interested. All of the DP is Basic Grey - Bittersweet. The brads I made using the create your own brad kit from Stampin Up. The stitching is faux. And, look, I decorated the inside again! I know, not really that big of a deal, but it's a new step for me! I love how "complete" it seems (well, ok, except for the sentiment! I am always bad about leaving that off. I don't know what kind of card it wants to be yet!) She is colored with Copics:
