Trick-or-Treating With Anya and the Gang

Hi! When I started this card I meant to use the sketch posted on The Greeting Farm blog for Farm Fresh Friday last week. I loved how Kim Nath turned the big circle element on the sketch into the moon (on her card HERE ) and so I blatantly copied that! But then, because I wanted to put at least 3 trick-or-treaters on the card I left myself no room for the other elements from the sketch!
For the moon I used one of my circle nestabilities as a mask and sponged a little Bodering Blue, then covered that with VeraMark ink and embossed with clear. Then I sponged around that with Taken With Teal, Night of Navy and Elegant Eggplant (all craft ink - I seem to have better luck sponging with Craft ink). The bats are from an EK Sucess punch. The frame is popped up, then my trick-or-treaters (I like to think of big Sis Anya dressing up and taking the little one's out for candy!) are popped up and layered on top of that. Anya's dress is covered with Star Dust stickels, and the treat bags are pieces of candy corn cut from the DP with thread handles added and faces drawn on.

The Details:
Stamps: Princess Anya, Witch from Spooktacular, Lion from Wild Things - The Greeting Farm
Paper: K&Co, Elegant Eggplant - Su, PTI white
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,R20,E11

Happy Friday!

Bring on the weekend!! Ha! This week has actually kind of flown by....I have two more cards to show you today and once again there is NO coloring. I don't know what has gotten into me....I'm sure I'll color some this weekend!

My first card is the final card I did for the Viva la Verve challenge on SCS. This one was also a sketch challenge, but the twist was to use your favorite color combo. (There is ALWAYS a twist with the VLV challenges!) My current favorite color is orange, orange, orange! I really love it with brown and light blue (like Baja Breeze) but since one of my other VLV cards used that combo (plus some Kiwi) I changed the Baja to Taken With Teal.

Details:
Stamp: Beautiful You - Verve
Paper: My Minds Eye, Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip, Taken With Teal, Whisper White-SU
Ink:Choc Chip Craft, Creamy Caramel Craft, Close to Cocoa Craft
Misc: Brads-Basic Grey, EK Success Border Punch

My second card is another card that I made for my Father-in-Law to give to his friends as thank you cards. I used one of the MojoMonday sketches from last week when they were doing their week long celebration of turning 100! They have some of THE Best sketches!

The Details:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy - SU
Paper: Enchante' (Retired SU), Mellow Moss, Choc Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink: Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Choc Chip Craft
Misc: Clear Embossing Powder, SU Scallop Border Punch, SU Ribbon, Large Eyelet

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Viva la Verve!

Hi! I have 3 cards to show you today! I am a pretty slow card maker and I usually only manage pne a day (if that!) so I am thrilled I finished 3 today! I know I am coming late to the party but I am just discovering Verve stamps! I have recently been just drooling over several bloggers cards who used Verve images and decided I had to try a few.(And boy, is their shipping fast!) Then I discovered the Verve challenge Viva La Verve on SCS, and I had to give it a try, too! I guess once a week a new challenge is issued and you have until the end of the month to finish all four cards and enter to win the next months releases.....Tomorrow is the deadline, and like I said I got 3 done today! Hopefully I can make the last one tomorrow!

So, the first challenge was to pick a card by one of the Verve Diva's and CASE it. The twist was if they used patterned paper you had to use card stock and vice-versa. I picked THIS CARD by Susan Liles. I really liked how she had used the balloon image 3 times and the bright happy colors she picked. I decided to go the opposite way with the color scheme and make mine black and white (and shades of gray). The balloons and sentiment are from the set Party Time. Susan used patterned paper for her background so I used card stock but stamped the dots with Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds. The other background panels are dry embossed, then I put silver stickles on for emphasis. I did used Copics on the balloons - C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9.

The second challenge was a sketch challenge with the added twist that you had to use a border punch in some way. I have to admit I feel a bit guilty that I didn't do anything more creative with the edge punch, but I had a lot of fun making the latte! I used liquid applique for hte foam - that is SO fun to watch it puff up! the stamp set is Delightful & Delicious and the DP is all Cosmo Cricket.

The third challenge was another sketch challenge with the added twist of "Use a Tag". I did a lot of piercing and a little embossing - pretty straightforward. The tag sentiment is from the Bountiful Backgrounds set and the main sentiment is from Beautiful You. The DP is SU - Pink Flamingo. I think I may end up giving this to my daughter's Principal on his birthday.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope your day is fantastic!!

A Very Late Farm Fresh Friday Card!

Boy, I can not seem to find the time to do all of the stamping that I want to do (hence the very last minute Farm Fresh Friday card!) Last weeks Farm Fresh Friday challenge (from The Greeting Farm blog) was this sketch by Jessica (I just love it when it's a sketch by Jessica!!) :
I have really been trying to use some older papers that I bought and never used (even though I really liked them!) so this is from a retired SU pack called Good Morning Sunshine. I also had never inked this adorable turtle and bunny up, so I played with them too! This is another card to go to my Father-in-Law who wants Thank You cards to give to his friends.

The Details:
Stamp: Down By The Farm - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Good Morning Sunshine - SU, Kiwi Kiss, Choc CHip - SU, PTI White
Copics:
Turtle:
Body: YG03,YG17, With W0 over both because it was way too bright
Shell:YG95,YG97,E47,E49
Flower:Y11,Y15,Y17
Carrot:Y17,Y38
Bunny: W0,W1,R00,R02
Shadows:C0,C1,C3

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

A Mojo Monday Thank You!

For today I used a sketch from Mojo Monday (even though it was one of last weeks sketches!) I have been admiring their sketches for a while and since I needed to make some more Thank You cards for my Father-in-Law, this seemed like the perfect time to play along. The sketch was from Day 4 of their Anniversary celebration and can be found HERE. This is my second card in two weeks with no Copic coloring. Boy, does that feel weird after 7 months or so of coloring everything!! Everything on the card is from Stampin Up (except the Nestabilities used to cut the main image and scallop circle!), although some of it is retired. I have a lot of retired SU paper that I had barely used. I always really liked it, I guess I was saving it for some "great" project or something. Do any of you do that? I am really trying to force myself to use the stuff I love instead of hoarding it!! Anyway, the DP is retired (one of my fave collections!) and the More Mustard ribbon doesn't seem to be in the new catalog either! (Actually I just looked and it wasn't in the previous catalog either! How long ago did I buy that stuff!!?)

Details:
Stamp: Pocket Silhouettes - SU
Paper: Autumn Vine (retired), Really Rust, Choc Chop, Whisper White - SU
Ink: Choc Chip Craft
Misc: Clear Embossing Powder, MM Ribbon (retired), Nesties

Thanks for stopping by today!

Witchy Woman!

Hello! Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a good weekend! Mine was nice and relaxing. I am a home-body, so I love a weekend where I don't HAVE to do anything and can just hang out at home crafting and watching tv or movies!

My card today uses my favorite new Dressy Miss Anya, and I have turned her into a witch! To keep the flower in her hair from being there I covered it with a little piece of post-it-note before inking her up, then pulled it off before stamping. I just had to go back and fill in the missing spaces with my Copic multi-liner. I also cut her out and traced her legs separately so I could draw stripey tights on. (Once the new legs were ready, I cut off the original legs and glued the new ones in their place.) I think stripey tights are a witch must-have! Oh, and I drew a tiny witch hat for her, cut it out and glued it on.

Details:
Stamp: Miss Anya Dressy - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Imaginisce; Basic Black, Whisper White - SU; PTI white
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: RV02,RV04,RV06,RV09
Clothes: above + C1,C3,C5,C7,C9
Misc: Martha Stewart Web punch, EK Success Spider punch and Bats punch

Thank you so much for stopping by!
