The Last 3 Days of Christmas!

Hello! I hope your weekend is going great so far! Have you seen all of the challenges going on at The Greeting Farm and Club Anya and Friends? I am absolutely giddy! I have just finished up my last card for the 12 Days of Christmas challenge, so I have #10, #11, and #12 to show you today!! Then I am off to work on some of the challenges from yesterday. I don't know that I will be able to get them all done, but I am going to have fun trying!

For #10 I reached back into my stash for this paper. This is some of my very favorite paper ever - it was the first paper that I absolutely obsessed about finding. When I first saw pieces of it online I couldn't stop thinking about it. Then I got it and was scared to do anything with it! Anya and Ian Together At Last!

Hello Everyone! Do many of you use digital papers or digital images? I know when I first heard of digital images I didn't think I'd like them, but when I actually played with some I decided it was nice to be able to change the size or reverse an image. I will admit that I sometimes forget about what I have because they are in the computer. I should probably print out an index to add to the 3 ring binders that have all of my rubber (and clear) images cataloged. But what I really meant to talk about was digital paper. I tried one digital paper months ago (I won't say where it was from!!) and when I printed it out it looked terrible so I decided it wasn't for me. But this weekend I decided to (finally) redecorate my blog and I bought a kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I thought I would try out some paper again, too, as it is pretty inexpensive. That is the orange paper on my card today. This could be sooo bad for me!! I love printed paper and buying it digitally is so easy (and it printed out very nicely!)

A Late Start....

Hi! I know it is very late for my first post of the day......I just had one of those days where I didn't feel like doing anything. Now, I don't normally feel like doing housework or things of a "sensible" nature, but I LOVE my hobbies! There are never enough hours in the day for the projects I want to work on, but today.......I just couldn't get up the energy for any of them. I finally took a little time and finished this card that I started this weekend. I am glad I did, because I am pretty happy with it.

It's hard to tell in the photo but she has several layers to her for dimension. In addition to that the frame is popped up on dimensionals and then she is popped up above that. The Photo corners are also popped up.

Other Details:
Stamps: Miss Anya Dressy - The Greeting Farm Swing - Magnolia
Paper: Basic Grey, Rose Red, Old Olive - SU, Pink (?) and White -PTI
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20

Clothes:R81,R83,R85,R89
Branch: E21,E25,E27,E29,G21,G24,G29 (the greens weren't yellow enough so I went over them again with YG23,YG95)

Thank you for stopping by!

Another "Couture" Anya and an Award!

Jacquie at Javablustamper gave me my very first blog award yesterday!! Thank you Jacquie!! I am so excited because now I get to pay forward the warm fuzzies to 5 bloggers who inspire me! (There are WAY more than 5 whose work I LOVE but I did keep it to 5!) If you haven't been to their blogs, you should really take a look. Color really draws my attention, so you will notice that these five ladies are extraordinarily talented with color!

Amy at A thousand Sheets of Paper
Tori at Wild Sprinkles
Randi at The Dark Mermaid
Sandra at Paper Funtastics
Mariska at Sending You a Little Smile

My card today is the second one I've done for the "Club Couture" contest at Club Anya! I tried to make a more grown up outfit this time, though it is still pretty casual. I think it is Mommy Chic! I would love to dress like this (but I wouldn't look as good as Anya does - I just don't have the legs!!) The sketch is from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge # 32. (I turned it on it's side!)

The details:
Stamps: Miss Anya (w/shopping bags) for the body, Miss Anya Snow for the head - The Greeting Farm

Club Anya Couture Contest - Portrait of My Daughter

Hi Everyone! I didn't have anything to show you yesterday because I took a break from stamping over the weekend - I've had an ache in my shoulder and neck for 3 days now! It feels just like I slept wrong on it but it's taking it's sweet time to go away, so I decided I had to stamp today!

Did you know that Club Anya is having a Club Couture Contest right now? You have until Thursday the 30th at 11:59 PM CST to enter your "summer couture" Anya or Ian for your chance to win the new Miss Anya Dressy set! You can get all of the details HERE. I went more with Sassy than Sophistication, and decided to do a portrait of my daughter. So this outfit is more on the "must have" list if you are a 9 year old!!

Ronnie/Miss Anya was made using the face from one of the new Dressy Miss Anya's (I love her open eyes) and the hair from the Dressy Miss Anya with the hat (I covered the hat with a post it note when I inked it up, then drew in the missing parts.) I stamped one of the first Miss Anya's (the one carrying the shopping bags) on scrap paper and cut her out then traced her body outline onto my PTI paper and drew the clothes I wanted (my DH's current favorite outfit). Once I was happy with how it looked, I went over it with my Copic multi-liner and colored. The hair was cut out and layered over the face and then the body was layered over that (since the hair was long and should be behind the shoulders. It probably sounds more complicated than it is.

The details:
Stamps: Miss Anya, Miss Anya Dressy, Sentiments - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Fancy Pants Designs, Basic Black-SU, PTI white
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: E40,E43,E44
Clothes:RV21,RV23,RV25,C3,C5,C7,YG23,YG25,V01,V15,YR15,YR16

Thank you for stopping by!

Sneak Peek of a Dressy Miss!

I am so excited to get to show you a sneak peek of a new stamp set from The Greeting Farm called Miss Anya Dressy! I just love all of the Miss Anya sets and this one is so beautiful with all of the lovely details each girl has! This one was my favorite from the minute I saw them (that may change once I color the other 2!), but I can't wait to see what the rest of the DT has done and which Miss Anya they have chosen to play with! The Miss Anya Dressy set will be available on the 1st of August (along with several other surprises we will show you next week!!) We will also be having a HUGE Blog Hop to celebrate The Greeting Farm's One Year Anniversary and you can be a part of it!!! You can get all of the details at HERE on Club Anya! I hope to see you there!!

I don't know why, but Miss Anya's hair wanted to be lilac! So, I had to go on a search for paper because with all of the paper that I have, very little of it is purple or lilac!! I also made this card to participate in the Farm Fresh Friday challenge at TGF, so I have included butterflies and flowers! The butterflies were made with a Martha Stewart punch and the flowers were a combination of Martha Stewart punches and Nestabilities (all decorated with stickles and Basic Grey brads!).

The rest of the details:
Stamp: Miss Anya Dressy - TGF
Paper: Little Yellow Bicycle, Lovely Lilac, Rose Red, Summer Sun - SU, White -PTI
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair:BV000,BV01,BV02,BV04
Clothes:RV14,RV17,RV19,Y35,Y38,C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9

You are probably as excited as I am to see the other Miss Anya's, so here's how to get to the rest of the DT if you haven't already been there:

Jessica
Jacquie
Janna
Kristine
Rosette

And, Oh, I forgot to tell you - you have TWO chances to win this set! There is a contest on both The Greeting Farm blog and the Club Anya blog with this set as the prize - so get busy and you may not have top wait until the 1st to get it!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Anya Welcomes Spring!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend! We had a really fun Girl Scout event on Saturday where the girls got to meet women from different Construction career fields. The girls got to hammer nails, use a drill, and bend electrical conduit!

I have two cards today, and both of them are celebrating Spring. (I have a ways to go before it will be anything like Spring here, but there's nothing like wishful thinking!) I don't know if you have noticed or not, but I don't usually use very many embellishments. Well, I have a confession to make - it's not because I don't love them. I am in awe of the card makers who have perfect clusters of strategically placed flowers on their cards, or have everything tied up with the perfect bow. I have an embellishment disability. They never look right where I place them, so almost every time I put them on I end up pulling them off. But I have decided I am really going to put more effort into embellishing my cards!

For the first card I used Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm. She is popped up on layers of DP by Prima. I bought the brads last year and I think they are Making Memories - I took them out of the package and put them in my brad storage containers! The ribbon is also from at least a year ago and is something I got for $1 at Micheals. I just typed the sentiment and printed from the computer. I colored her with Copics:

Skin: E50, E53, RV21
Hair: Cream Prisma, Y21, Y26, E33
Clothes: BG32, BG34, BG49 (I put these coors down first but they were a bit too green, so I went over them wth B02, B05, B09)
Flowers:RV32, RV34, R85, YG03, YG17
Shadows: c1, C3

My second card uses Pretty Hat Anya by The Greeting Farm. The DP is Sultry by Basic Grey. The flowers are all Prima except the bottom layer of the flower on the hat, which is punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The leaves are also from a Martha Stewart punch. I used two rhinestone brads and the rest of the "sparklys" are Swarovski crystals from the jewelry making section of the craft store. The sentiment was typed on the computer and printed out. Her hat and top are paper pieced and the rest is colored with Copics:

Skin: E00, E02, RV21
Skirt: RV32,RV34,R85
Hair:E30,E74,E77,E79

Thanks for visiting today! I hope it's warm where you are!

Miss Anya With a Lime Green Purse

Now that it's Wednesday, I am finally starting to feel like myself again. Last week was Spring Break here, and I work part time at my daughter's school so it was Spring Break for both of us. Now, I naturally like to stay up late and sleep late and given just a few days when I don't have to get up I very quickly switch my internal clock around. So after many days of staying up late and sleeping late I've had a hard time adjusting to the Back to School schedule.

My card today features one of the Sassy Miss Anya's! I used some paper from My Mind's Eye that I bought years ago because I loved it, then I never knew what to do with it! I think it suits Miss Anya nicely! The sentiment on the side is from a retired Stampin Up set. There were a bunch of phrases on one stamp that I cut apart (and mounted on EZ Mount because I like my sets that way!) She is colored with Prisma markers and has a lime green purse just because I love lime green purses.

Have a wonderful day!

Sneak Peak at Club Anya

I am so excited! If you have not been over to Club Anya today, you should head there right now! Jessica put up a sneak peak picture of the set coming out on the 15th and it is so cute! I can't believe I am lucky enough that I'll get to play with it early! I'm going to be stalking the mailbox today (I also ordered the cute little Pixie's and the adorable Forest Friends on Sunday, and I hope they'll be here today!)

My card today is another one made with the Fabulous Miss Anya set! She is colored with Prisma markers and popped up on some cute DP by Autumn Leaves.

Well, today is the last day of school here before the beginning of Spring Break (I work part time at my daughter's elementary school, so it is Spring Break for me too!) So, Happy Spring Break (even though it's barely breaking 10 degrees here, and is snowing!) !

A Pink Chocolate Kiwi Color Challenge

I made this card for the color challenge this week over a Splitcoaststampers - Pink Passion, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip. I love these colors together! I used one of the wonderful Miss Anya stamps from the Greeting Farm. She is colored with Prisma Markers and paper pieced. The DP is Basic Gray and the card stock is Stampin up. I'm not sure what brand the brads are - they were in a scrapbooking kit I got several years ago.

Miss Anya

Today's card uses one of the awesome Miss Anya stamps. I colored her with Prisma markers and used some beautiful K&Co DP.

Have a wonderful day!
