Sparkly Surfer Ian

Hi! This is one of the other cards I made while I was playing yesterday! Does anyone remember the movie Xanadu? That's what this paper reminds me of. It has to have been at least 25 years since I have seen that movie and if I watched it now it would probably be awful, but I loved it as a "Tween"!

The paper is from DCWV. Because it was so sparkly and light in the background I tried to pretend like the sun was behind Ian (from THe Greeting Farm) and was just catching the back of his head and the tips of his hair. I'm sure if that was really where the sun was, it wouldn't catch the front of his hair the way I colored it, but I like it anyway! The background paper had done most of the "work" for me , so all I did was color Ian with Copics and layer him on it (I did cut a darker strip from a different section of the paper so it would maybe look like a separate "wave" that he was riding). I also just used a piece that was left over to decorate the inside of the card.

Skin:R00,E11,E13,R20,R22
Hair:E40,E43,E47
Clothes:E43,E47,E49,R85,R89
Board:E40,E43,YR04,YR07,YR09

Have a sparkly, wonderful day!

Okay Traci, 2 things - this card is sooo incredibly true to life. I've watched surfers at sunset in Hawaii and this is pretty much what it looks like. haha! The pinks in the sky and all the light bouncing off the waves is just incredible, I felt like I was back home while looking at your dreamy Ian card. ;) Second thing, thanks a lot. Now I have Xanadu's song in my head, and I never did learn all the right words. ;)

It must be the sparkles and the colors that bring Xanadu to mind. And yes, I have seen it in the last 2 years and it is awful! LOVE the tattoo. Very cute with excellent coloring skill as usual.

So cool Traci!! I think Ian's hair looks amazing!
YES, it does have a Xanadu feel to it!! As soon as you said that I thought, "Xanadu your neon lights will shine..." I LOVED that movie! I used to roller skate around in my best Olivia outfit with braids in my hair to the Xanadu soundtrack all day! I still have the soundtrack to that movie!!
Come overa and we'll have a roller skate party! ;o)
