ATS Wednesday Challenge - Celebrate New Years!

Hello! Our challenge this week at the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge Blog is to make something for New Years - You could do calendars, wine charms, New Year’s party decorations, or even a banner. I decided to make wine glass charms - I am thinking I could even hang them on the Christmas tree next year!

I used Sweet Novembers Twisted Sisters Azalea and Jassamine for my charms. I stamped them on Shrink plastic with Staz On ink and then colored the other side. Azalea was colored with Copics and Jassamine was colored with Sharpie markers - I think the Sharpies worked a LOT better on shrink plastic! I shrank Azalea first on a cookie sheet covered with tin foil and she ended up with a lot of wrinkles. For Jessamine I put a piece of cardboard over the cookie sheet and that was much better.

I hope you will get a chance to play with us this week! There is always a prize up for grabs - all you need to do to be eligible to win is to use one of the MANY stamps available at All That Scraps and link your creation to the ATS Challenge Blog by next Tuesday at 10 PM EST! Good luck and have fun!!

Sweet November Sneaks Day 2 - Lovely Isadora

Hello! It is day 2 of the Sweet November Princess Sneak Peeks, and I can't even tell you how much I adore these new stamps! I want to live in the magical world they live in! Today's Princess is Isadora. I love how Amy drew her lying down - there are so many different things to have her resting on!

I used my Cricut (with the Deep Blade Housing) to cut out the chipboard letters and then cut them again out of the Designer Paper that I later glued to the chipboard. I am determined to get more use out of my Cricut and Sizzix, so you will probably see a lot more die cuts on my cards in the future.

The Details:
Stamp: Isadora (Sweet November) - available from All That Scraps on Jan 3, sentiment from Any R Handy Additions Sentiments (also from ATS)
Paper: Fancy Pants Designs, Pink Passion, Certainly Celery (Stampin Up), White for image (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:

Hair: YR14,E08,E19,E18

ATS Challenge - Song Inspiration!

Hello! Today's challenge at the All That Scraps Challenge Blog is to be inspired by a song! I was a little scared of this challenge and then once I got started I couldn't stop and I made two!!

My first card is the card I made for my daughter's 11th birthday, which was Monday. Her favorite song is Avril Lavigne's Skater Boi so I used that as inspiration for her card! I stamped the word "Sk8tr" in the top corner and then wrote "Boi" beneath it, but it is hard to see in the picture.

The Details:
Stamps: Lil Lolita 80's Sookie (Tickled Pink), Later Sk8tr 9The Greeting Farm) - both available at All That Scraps, sentiment from Doodlefactory Urban Sentiments
Paper: Anna Grifith (Zebra Print), Creative Imaginations (cherries and skulls), Echo Park (Tiny Skulls), Prism Intense Azalea and Iced Azalea, White for images - Copic Xpress

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Sookie:
Hair: E43, E44,E47,RV02,RV04,RV06 all w/V01 over
Clothes: C1,C3,C5,C7,C9,V01,V04,V05w/RV02 and RV04 over
Boi:
Hari: E21,E25,E27
Clothes: C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9,B91,B93
Misc: Sizzix Embossing Folder, Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam, Shimmer Spritz, Taylors Tiny Twinkles, Sakura Clear Stardust Pen

My second one is more of a Holiday Card (and it is on it's way to a very special person as I type this!) I had to have this adorable Winter Ella Puddle Jumper when I saw her - she is too cute and then when you add on her Penguin friend and the "Baby It's Cold Outside" sentiment she was irresistible to me! Ever since the Glee Christmas episode I have not been able to stop singing Baby It's Cold Outside, so that is my inspiration for this card!

The Details:
Stamps:
Puddle Jumpers Winter Ella - (available at All That Scraps)
Paper
: My Minds Eye, Blue?, White for images - Copic Xpress
Ink:
Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:

Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: YR14,E08,E19
Clothes: RV10,R81,R83,R35,R37,R39,BG10,BG11 w/C1 over
Misc:

A Couple More Tissue Box Covers

Hiya! I thought I would make a quick post to show you a couple more tissue box covers that I made - the blue one was for my daughter's teacher and the red and green one is for my Step Mother. I am typing this up on Sunday night - Monday is my daughter's 11th birthday and Tuesday is my Husbnad's birthday, so please forgive me for not leaving a lot of details this time!!

Made with Darby and Pudge (no Pudge in the project!) from Sweet November, and Bo Bunny Papers!

And this one uses Sweet Novembers Penelope and Juniper, and paper from The Girls Paperie (Tinsel and Twigs).

Have a wonderful day!

Peace

Hello! I have made a card today using an image by Nikki Burnette. I have to say I was a little intimidated when I first got this one because there seems to be so much to color, but once I got started it was really fun!

When I was done I sprayed the whole image with Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle. It looks lovely and sparkly, without effecting the image in real life but in the photo it is making it look kind of grainy and blurry....The doves are a Martha Stewart punch from last year - I punched it several times and cut it apart and the re-layered it back together so that I could position the wings differently on each of them. For the brown background piece I coated my embossing folder with Espresso Bean Glimmer Glam before putting the paper in.

The Details:
Stamp: Nikki Burnette's Neva (Plate 82) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Basic Grey, Early Espresso (SU), White for image - Copic XPress
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Blacvk
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: E44,E47,E49
Clothes: E15 W/R35,R37.R39 over, BG10,BG11
Background: B000,BG10,BG11,E44,E47,E49,Y000,Y02,Y15
Misc: Stardust Stickles, Sakura Clear Stardust Pen, Shimmer Spritz, Tattered ANgels Espresso Glimmer Glam, Cuttlebug Embossing FOlder, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Martha Stewart Dove Punch, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles

I hope your day is wonderful!

ATS Christmas Flowers

Hello! It is time for another All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge and this week we want to see some Christmas flowers!! I chose to use Poinsettias, but you can add any kind of flowers to your Holiday creation!

I was hoping to capture the look of the poinsettias on the background paper so I used a Spellbinders die called Heartfelt Creations Perfect Petals. The smallest petal was still going to make a bigger flower than I wanted so I traced inside it and hand cut the petals out so I would have smaller petals. I curled them a little with my paper piercer and added some little gold gems in the center.

The Details:
Stamps: Cheeky Christmas - The Greeting Farm, Amy R Holiday Greetings - both sold at All That Scraps
Paper: Making Memories, Pure Poppy, Brown (Papertrey Ink), Garden Green (SU), White for image (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: E47,E49,C9,110
Clothes: R35,R37,R39,C7,C9
Misc: Spellbinders Heartfelt Creations Perfect Petals, Martha Stewart Pine Branch and Holly Punches, Stardust Stickles, Recollections Pearls, Taylors Tiny Colored Twinkles
, liquid applique

There is always a prize up for grabs - all you need to do to be eligible to win is to use one of the MANY stamps available at All That Scraps and link your creation to the ATS Challenge Blog by next Tuesday at 10 PM EST! Masculine Christmas Card

Hello! This card has NO coloring which is unheard of for me! I wanted to make a quick card and this image is just perfect for that. Poinsettia Fairy

Hi! I have another Christmas Card to show you today using a gorgeous image from chin-chou kuik's plate 60. This one is called Poinsettia Fairy. All four of the images on this sheet are stunning and I intend to make Christmas cards with all of them (although they can be purchased individually, too).

I almost always get my color palette from the paper I choose, and this was no exception. I colored the image with Copics and then added some sparkle with both Stickles and a Sakura Clear Stardust glitter pen. The background is one sheet of paper - I cut a slit in the paper that is covered up with the image panel and cut along the edge of the ornament so I could slide the image slightly underneath it. The sentiment is cut from another piece of paper in the same line, then I went over the letters with the glitter pen.

The Details:
Stamp: Poinsettia Fairy - chin-chou kuik (Plate 60) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Bo Bunny, Prism Purple, White for image (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:

If you are here for the Greeting Farm Hop, please scroll down!

Hello! It is time for another fabulous All That Scraps Challenge and this week it is Snowflakes!! How fun!! And so easy to incorporate into any Holiday cards that you might want to make!! This is also the final day of Sweet November previews, and last but not least is the oh so elegant Neva!! All of the new Sweet November Snowflake fairies will be available at All That Scraps on Monday December 6th!

I always love sparkle, and I really went overboard with it on this card!! The silver panels are silver cardstock that I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. They were not nearly sparkly enough for me so I rubbed Stardust Stickles all over them! Her entire outfit is covered in Silver and Stardust Stickles, I embossed the sentiment in silver and then threw in lots of gems, too!

The Details:
Stamp: Neva - Sweet November, AmyR Holiday Greetings - both from All That Scraps
Paper: Bo Bunny (purple), Silver and White Cardstock (SU), White (Copic XPress)

Sweet Treats from Mrs Claus

Please be sure to scroll down for my Sweet November sneak peek!

Hi! Today is the big TGF Customer blog hop and I just had to participate!! I had hoped to do more than one card, but I ran out of time! There were 3 challenges you could try: Let it Snow, Santa Baby, and Holiday Treats. I obviously went with Holiday treats! I colored Amelia's hair gray and gave her Cheeky XMas's hat to turn her into Mrs Claus. She has spent all day baking and filled the workshop with the scent of Gingerbread! (In fact, I think that may be one trying to get away!)

The little gingerbread man is from a $1 pack of felt gingerbread men from JoAnn's - I redid his paint and gave him some "candy" buttons using brads.

The Details:
Stamps: OA Just for You and Cheeky XMas - The Greeting Farm, AmyR Holiday Greetings (All THat Scraps)
Paper: October Afternoon, Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink), White (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen, Walnut Stain and Old Photo Distress Ink

Sparkly Snowflake Eira!

Hi! I hope everyone's Thanksgiving Holiday weekend was great!! I had a nice relaxing one and now I am so excited to start off the week with previews of new Sweet November stamps!! The first one I have to introduce you to is Eira!! She, along with the other new Sweet November stamps will be available at All That Scraps on Monday December 6th!

There was something about Eira that seemed very sparkly and cheerful to me, kind of like pink champagne (which I have never had, but it just seems so girly and sparkly and bubbly!) and that is how i tried to color her. I colored the chipboard snowflake with the deeper yellow copics and then put Stickles over that. I also covered the button with Stickles.

The Details:
Stamps: Eira (Sweet November), AnyR Merry and Bright Sentiments - both from All That Scraps
Paper: Crate Paper, Rich Razzelberry (SU), White (Copic XPress)

Hi! I have a sneak peek today of an image that will be available soon at Sweet Pea Stamps! It is by Caron Vinson and is called Glamgothic Fairy. I know the name implies something quite different from how I colored her, but I am in the mood to make Holiday cards and I just went with that!

Tag - You're It!

Hiya! It is time for another All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge and we have a really fun one this week - Gift Tags!! When I saw this I thought this would be a fun quick project that I would make a bunch of (quick because I didn't have to think about the card part, and fun because coloring is my favorite part!!) I still had a really fun time, but I somehow veered away from the quick! My tags are almost as big as cards (and I thoroughly admit to thinking about turning them into cards and starting over on the tag part!!)

The first one uses a Sweet November digi image from last year (It is still available if you look in the digi section at All That Scraps!) I colored her and cut her out but I had to redraw the string holding her star because I couldn't cut that precisely! I also just realized I forgot to put her halo back on!!

The Details:
Stamp: Angel Babies - Sweet November, Amy R Merry and Bright Sentiments - both from All That Scraps
Paper: My Minds Eye (very old from my stash), Prism Nautical Blue MD, White (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Faded Jeans Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: YR14,E08,E19
Clothes: B93,B95,B97,C0,C1
Misc: Nesties Circles Die, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch, Stampin Up Champagne Glitter Glass, SU Jumbo Eyelet, Ribbon (Offray)

For the next one I used another Sweet November image - these Baby stamps are so much fun to paper piece! I can't seem to stop myself from doing that when I use them! I also cut a felt Christmas tree using a Sizzix die and gave it some glittered brad ornaments.

The Details:
Stamp: Baby Present Girl - Sweet November from All That Scraps
Paper: My Minds Eye, White (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: E47,E49,C9,110
Present: B93,B95,w/BG02 over them, YR04,YR07
Misc:
Sizzix Tree Die, Doodlbug Sugared Brads, Ribbon (Offray)

For my last tag I used the adorable new Tickled Pink Ornaments Cherrie. I colored her and cut her out using a circle Nestability die, leaving the head and part of her dress outside the cutting area.

The Details:
Stamp:Tickled Pink Ornament Cherrie, AmyR Merry and Bright Sentiments- both from All That Scraps
Paper: My Minds Eye, Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink), White (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: E50,E53,E55
Clothes: R81,R83,R85
Misc:
Stampin Up Silver Glitter Glass, Sakura Red Glaze Pen, SU Jumbo Eyelet, Ribbon (SU), Nestabilities Circle and Label die

Holly Fairy

Hi! I am busy working on making my Christmas cards, and I was so excited to get to play with one of ching-chou kuik's Christmas images. Plate 60 has four absolutely stunning holiday images and I can't wait to make each one into a card (they can each be purchased individually, too).

The holly in this image reminded me of some older Bo Bunny paper that I had, so I did my best to color the image so the background would look like an extension of the DP (or the DP would look like an extension of the background of the image.) I colored the image with Copic markers and added some stickles and a glitter pen for sparkle. I used the Martha Stewart icicle punch on clear card stock, then covered that with tinsel glitter and layered it under the ribbon.

The Details:
Stamp: Holly Fairy - chin-chou kuik (Plate 60) - from Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Bo Bunny, Handsome Hunter (SU), White for image (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Stain and Antique Linen Distress Inks
Copics:
Skin: E000,E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: YG11
Wings and Clothes: YG11,YG25,YG17,G14,G17,G29
Holly and Background: YG11,YG25,YG17,G14,G17,G29,T6 all w/R02 over them, R24,R29,R39, E50
Misc: Martha Stewart Icicle Punch, Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter (mica), Stardust Stickles, Sakura Clear Stardust pen, Ribbon (Retired SU), Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

I hope you are having fun getting your Holiday cards done!

All That Scraps Gift Card Challenge

Hello! We have a fun challenge this week at the All That Scraps challenge blog - gift card holders! I decided to try to make my gift card holder in the shape of a present that you could lift the lid off of, but I still wanted it to fit in an envelope like a card.

My finished holder measures 6.25 x 4.5, which is the standard size of card that I make. The base (the Vanilla piece you can see in the second picture) measures 6.25 x 4.5. The "box" of the present is 6.25 x 3.4 and the lid is 6.25 x 1.5. The lid is attached to a piece of cardstock so it is a little sturdier and it is held on to the "box" with a brad in the corner so it can swivel to lift off. Before I attached the "box" to the base piece I set the giftcard where I wanted it to be, and then put glue around it so that once the "box" piece of DP was attached the gift card had a place to slip in.

The Details:
Stamps: Penelope and Juniper - Sweet Novmeber, Any R Holiday Greetings - both from All That Scraps
Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Very Vanilla (SU), White for image (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00,E11,R00,R20
Hair: YR14,E08,E19
Boots and Clothes: E47,E49,110,YG95,YG97
Juniper: R24,R29,R39 all w/E08 and E09 over them, Y17
Misc: Ribbon (Offray), Sakura Glaze Pen, Liquid Applique

I hope you will get a chance to play with us this week! There is always a prize up for grabs - all you need to do to be eligible to win is to use one of the MANY stamps available at All That Scraps and link your creation to the ATS Challenge Blog by next Tuesday at 10 PM EST! Moon Marsh Mermaid

Hello! I just have a quick post today, with a card I made a little while back. It was a "thank you' for a wonderful person, and hopefully she has received it now and doesn't mind me posting it!! I used Elaine Cox's Moon Marsh Mermaid and tried to color her to match my Bella Blvd papers. Some of the brighter turquoise in the paper got covered up when I put the image on the card so it looks a little out of place in my coloring...

Paper: Bella Blvd, Temp[ting Turquoise (SU), White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Grateful for Friends

Hello! It is time for another All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge and this week our challenge is to "Be Grateful". I decided to be grateful for friends and used Sweet November's Darby and Penelope for my card. They are just the sweetest of friends!

My Nesties do not actually come in the exact size I needed for my sentiment so I traced the outside edge of one die for the sentiment panel and hand cut it out and the inner most edge of the next size up for my frame and hand cut it. The flowers and leaves are very sparkly with Glimmer mist but I could not get it captured in the photo.

The Details:
Stamps: Darby and Penelope (Sweet November), AmyR Thank You Sentiments - both from All That Scraps
Paper: Imaginisce, More Mustard Really Rust (SU), White (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen Distress Ink, Old Photo Distress Ink, Walnut Stain Distress Ink

Holiday Fox Allure

I have a habit (I can't make up my mind if it's a good habit or a bad one...) of deciding to color an image without getting any info on it. What I mean by that is I don't look at the original art to see how the artist colored it and if I don't remember the name of it, I don't look at that either until afterwards. So, when I started this I thought "Oooh, I really want to make a Christmas card with this gorgeous wolf image." (Totally off topic, but I am currently reading this Young Adult werewolf series right now, where the trigger to "shift" is cold weather not the full moon.) Anyway, I finished it up and then saw the stamp is called "Fox Allure"! When I showed it to my DH he said,"Of course it's a fox!" But he did agree it could look like a very dainty wolf!

I colored the image with Copics and added a little stickles for sparkle. I painted the chipboard snowflakes with Pewter Crackle paint first and then added some stickles on top after the paint had dried.

The Details:
Stamp: Fox Allure (ching chou kuik Plate 64) Sentiment from Holiday Collage Sheet (Plate 50) - both from Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Echo Park, Oceans Tide (Papertrey Ink), White for image (Copic XPress)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Hair: E43,E44,E47,E49
